With a Belgian mother and a father who fled the Democratic Republic of Congo, Vranckx has chosen to represent Belgium and has played three times for their U21 side, drawing comparisons with Axel Witsel for his playing style.

The report adds that he could arrive on loan with an option to buy but at the moment it is just an idea more so that an advanced negotiation. Another curiosity: in 2020 he was the second best Belgian talent in the league, finishing runner up to Charles De Ketelaere.
